What Kind Of Goods Are Imported And Exported Into Customs Statistics?

Customs statistics are national foreign trade import and export statistics, which are characterized by comprehensiveness, reliability, and international comparability. A country ’s foreign trade statistics should reflect commodity activities that increase or decrease the country ’s material resource reserves due to entry into and exit from the country. So which goods are imported and exported into customs statistics? For goods that actually enter and exit the country and cause an increase or decrease in the stock of domestic materials, as well as items that exceed a reasonable amount for self-use, unless specified by the system, they are listed in the customs statistics. China divides import and export goods into import and export goods listed by customs. Goods not included in customs statistics items and goods not included in customs statistics but subject to single item statistics, the third category. 1. Import and export goods listed by customs Import and export goods included in customs statistics are classified by customs supervision. Mainly includes: 1) Legal persons operating foreign trade in China, other organizations and individuals import and export goods by means of general trade, barter trade, processing trade, compensation trade, consignment trade, etc. 2) Inbound and outbound goods in bonded areas and bonded area warehouses 3) Lease import and export goods for one year or more 4) Inbound and outbound goods in small trade at the border 5) International aid materials or donations 6) Overflow cargo 7) Temporary import and export of goods approved by units without import and export management rights 2. Goods not included in customs statistics According to international trade practices and the statistical range determined by China, goods that do not actually enter or exit the country or actually enter and exit the country but do not cause changes in the domestic stock of materials are not included in customs statistics. The following import and export goods are not included in customs statistics: 1) Goods in transit, transshipment and transit 2) Temporary import and export of goods 3) Currency and gold for currency 4) Lease import and export goods with a lease period of less than one year 5) Compensation or replacement of imported and exported goods free of charge due to damage, shortage, poor quality or non-compliance 6) Other goods not included in customs statistics as stipulated by the General Administration of Customs 3. Goods not included in customs statistics but implemented in individual statistics In order to better play the role of customs statistics in the national economy and customs management, for goods that are not included in the import and export customs statistics, the customs implements a single item of statistics, and the statistics are not included in the total value of the national import and export trade statistics. Goods implemented by the customs for individual items include: 1) Duty-free goods 2) Feeding and incoming materials 3) Feeding and incoming materials are processed for domestic sales and equipment for domestic sales 4) Feeding and incoming processing, deep processing carry-over goods 5) Surplus material and carry-over equipment 6) returned goods 7) The feeding and incoming materials are processed for re-export
